Closing on my mortgage in 2017 was rough. It was my first residential closing and we did it on "hard mode"—10% down, self-employed (aka "dead to banks") buyer, getting a condo. It was also "fun" switching lenders halfway through, 21 days into "Wells Fargo's commitment to get you a decision in 72 days".

This fiasco was memorialized by the 157 (!!) email threads (threads, not messages) it generated over 67 days from October 15th to December 21st.

Yesterday, I rounded everything up, and pressed Delete. It was awesome. I don't get to do that (big bulk deletes) every day but every time I do, I'm surprised how great it feels.
